The innovative and unique Schluter®-KERDI-BOARD system serves as a substrate, building panel, and bonded waterproofing solution. This board system gives builders, remodelers, and tile installers more control over their tiling projects by providing them with the means to more quickly and easily create ideal substrates for tile.

Many substrates encountered in new buildings and renovation projects are unsuitable for tile installation, especially in wet areas. These installations can require comprehensive additional work and waterproofing measures before tiles can be installed. Schluter-KERDI-BOARD can be used to create an absolutely flat substrate with straight and precisely aligned inside and outside corners that is immediately ready for tile.

Schluter-KERDI-BOARD can be installed on virtually any wall surface. It can be fully embedded in thin-set mortar or spot-bonded to masonry, concrete, or walls already finished with plaster, tiles, paint, etc. KERDI-BOARD can also be used as a building element to construct free-standing structures to support tile coverings.

Schluter-KERDI-BOARD is made of an extruded polystyrene foam core with reinforcement layers and fleece webbing on both sides for easy anchoring in thin-set mortar. Gridlines are printed on the surface, which contains no cement or fiberglass, making it easy to achieve precise, dust-free cuts.
The board comes in seven thicknesses: 3/16", 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1-1/2", and 2".
