Decorative fixture manufacturer Ivalo Lighting expands its popular L’ale product family with the debut of a sensual, LED-powered interior sconce.
Illuminated through tiny, high-power and energy-efficient LED light sources, the L’ale sconce can be used as a single piece or in groups throughout a space. At 27” high, the fixture varies in width from 4.25” to 8” and is compliant with ADA standards for wall sconce projection. The L’ale is crafted from cast-aluminum and features a sleek automotive paint finish. It is currently available in matte titanium, matte slate and matte graphite, as well as custom colors to match any residential or commercial interior environment.
The sconce was inspired by, and created to complement the company’s signature L’ale pendant, which was originally introduced in 2006, and designed to create intimacy and draw people together at a table. Softening aspects of the graceful arc in the pendant are combined with sensuality and delicacy energized by an upward flow of light.
The L’ale product family was designed by William Pedersen, design principal at Kohn Pederson Fox, and is the recipient of the 2007 Chicago Atheneum Good Design™ Award.
