InnoMark is a proud annual exhibitor at GlobalShop, the world’s largest event for retail design, visual merchandising, and shopper marketing. Each year, GlobalShop connects retailers and brand marketers with the industry’s most innovative suppliers, as well as the latest trends and technologies. The 2014 event was held March 18–20 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. InnoMark sent approximately 35 team members to exhibit its capabilities, compete in POPAI’s OMA contest, and participate in industry seminars. InnoMark unveiled a new tradeshow exhibit that was designed and engineered by the InnoMark Permanent Display Group (IPDG). It featured four modular display units and a branded counter piece. Each display unit contained LED lights, hanging tracks, and space for shelves. The goal was to deliver InnoMark’s “the Total Merchandising Solution” message through a wide variety of work examples. The hanging tracks showcased window displays, while the shelves provided space for packaging and counter units. Space between the modular units accommodated freestanding temporary and permanent displays. GlobalShop is also home to POPAI’s Outstanding Merchandising Achievement (OMA) Awards Contest. For over 50 years, visual merchandising suppliers, clients, and POPAI members have gathered to celebrate and recognize the industry’s most innovative retail marketing projects. This year’s contest included 460 entries from 75 different companies. The judges evaluated all entries and selected 187 winners. POPAI hosted their annual awards gala at the Four Seasons Hotel, where they announced the 2014 winners. InnoMark and Spirit Halloween were awarded gold and bronze honors in the Specialty Retailer category. “Zombie Asylum”, which was designed to promote Spirit’s zombie animatronics line, received the highest score in the category and was therefore awarded gold. “Clown Train”, a circus themed temporary display, received bronze. InnoMark also accepted silver honors in partnership with Bath & Body Works for its “Forever Midnight” frames. InnoMark congratulates Spirit Halloween and Bath & Body Works and thanks POPAI for the opportunity to compete. Finally, GlobalShop also hosts a variety of seminar sessions and roundtable discussions. Joe Cheesman, Store Décor Manager at InnoMark, was among the speakers at the “Retail Transformed: How a Highly Integrated Team Can Spell Big Results” presentation. Cheesman joined speakers from EWI Worldwide and Pep Boys to explore how research and collaboration brought a collective décor vision to life. Overall, GlobalShop 2014 was a success for the InnoMark team. We recognize that this experience is largely due to the collaborated efforts of our Sales, Design, Project Management, and Production teams. We thank everyone for a job well done and look forward to planning for 2015. |
