Product Details

ELP continues to expand the “Hole In The Wall” family. These rectangle, square and arched aperture fixtures are cast with GRG (Glass fiber Reinforced Gypsum) composite material. The HITW Series fixtures with asymmetric light throw may be mounted in the wall as an indirect up-light or floor wash step light. Additionally, they are often installed in the ceiling as wall wash luminaires. Once installed, this “cast” fixture, actually appears to be part of your wall or ceiling and looks like a custom formed drywall “light niche” that blends with any interior motif.

This is a great architectural lighting element to light a space or provide accent lighting to enhance the architecture. With its shallow depth, it will install into a standard stud wall and there is no visible metal or trim in the normal viewing. The durable, GRG casting mounts directly to stud construction and allows 5/8” gypsum board construction butting the fixture. Using standard drywall tape and joint compound, the seam edges are finished like any drywall joint. Interior aluminum and cold rolled steel components are TGIC polyester powder coated. The integral electrical components are accessible through the aperture of the fixture. Numerous casting apertures are available along with various compact fluorescent, incandescent, halogen and LED lamping options. The fixtures are UL/CUL Damp Location listed.
