GH+A Wins Gold for Saks Food Hall by Pusateri's from Shop!

Montreal, QC (April 7, 2017) – The international retail design firm, GH+A, is the proud recipient of the Gold Award from the Shop! Design Awards for the design of the Saks Food Hall by Pusateri’s at CF Sherway Gardens in Toronto, ON in the Specialty Food Retailer category. Shop! announced the winners last week on March 29th at LIGHT nightclub at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas as part of GlobalShop 2017. 

Saks Fifth Avenue is the first North American department store in the 21st century to import the classic food hall concept into their premises. With the surge in popularity of the public’s interest in gourmet food, the retailer seized an opportunity to capitalize on the foodie trend and introduce a new lifestyle component to the Saks Fifth Avenue brand. The food hall at CF Sherway Gardens features 18,500 square feet of best-in-class gourmet food offerings showcased within a supremely luxe market atmosphere. The programming and layout are inspired by the traditional European food hall, with culinary stations meshed throughout the space creating a dynamic interplay of shopping aisles with specialty stations.
