Reeve Wins A.R.E.'s 2009 Sustainability Award for its Contribution to REI's Round Rock, Texas Project of the Year

Hollywood, FL - July 1, 2009 — The Association for Retail Environments (A.R.E.) formerly NASFM, today awarded Reeve Store Equipment Company its inaugural Sustainability Award, launched earlier this year at GlobalShop 2009 to encourage excellence in sustainable retail design. According to A.R.E., recipients of the Sustainability Award are those companies whos work strikes a balance betweeen comprehensive sustainability programs and good design.

REI’s new store in Round Rock, Texas—featuring Reeve's innovative fixtures—also received the Project of the Year award. Previously, Reeve was involved in REI's achievement of its LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification for its commitment to ecologically friendly design. Reeve is proud of its association with REI and its involvement in creating fixtures with forward thinking design and continues to share REI’s commitment to the environment as shown by their recent upgrades to their facilities (see “Green is the New Black” at Reeve) and their efforts to create new ecologically friendly metal finishes.
